This tip is for students studying Legal Studies and comes from Michelle Humphreys who is one of our team of presenters. Michelle has been an assessor since 1996 and was a member of the VCAA Legal Studies Review Committee for the current Study Design. She is also a Legal Studies textbook author as well as being a valued member of the Access Education team of presenters. Michelle has a particular interest in and passion for Legal Studies education and provides the following piece of advise for students...............
Demonstrate your applied understanding of concepts through the inclusion of illustrative examples in your written responses. In particular, include examples for topics such as: reasons laws may need to change; specific, concurrent, exclusive and residual powers; High Court cases that interpret the Constitution; pre-trial procedures; sanction and remedies; recent changes and recommendations for changes to the legal system.
