  • Teacher's Toolkits 2012 - VCE HHD Units 2 & 4

    Sonia Goodacre and Agatha Panetta will be presenting Units 2 & 4 VCE Health & Human Development. This program will be held at at Victoria University, Sunshine on Tuesday 8th May and at Mulgrave Country Club on Thursday 17th May.

    This engaging session of professional development for teachers of VCE Health & Human Development will contain more useful insights into each of the Areas of Study in the course, along with associated teaching and learning activities that will assist you with getting the most out of your class.  The extensive experience of the presenters as both teachers and textbook authors will greatly assist teachers with course development, teaching approaches and 'hands-on' learning activities.

     

    Agatha Panetta will present Unit 2:

    ·        Explore a range of new resources to teach about infancy and childhood

    ·        Up-to-date statistics of the health status of children and adults

    ·        Suggestions of how to engage and motivate students using current ICT.

    ·        Explore a variety of ways to teach the determinants of health.

    ·        Explore a range of revision strategies and examination techniques that will motivate and engage.

     

    Sonia Goodacre will present Unit 4.  This session will cover;

          Developing course outlines/timelines

          Exploring teaching and learning idea’s to engage students and consolidate learning

          A particular focus on strategies or programs to promote health and human development

          Outline of a range of current resources to assist with planning

          Developing assessment tasks

  • Mid Year U3 Exam Revision 2012

    Maximising your mid year exam results - Unit 3 Exam Revision Lectures

    2.5 hour exam revision lectures for Unit 3 Accounting, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Psychology available at all 10 venues across Victoria.  Each lecture includes a succinct and valuable set of revision notes for use during the weeks leading up to the exam.
