Peter started off his career in Chemistry in a combination of antiviral drug research and lecturing in Chemistry at the Victorian College of Pharmacy. He then moved into the secondary education system where he has been teaching Year 12 Chemistry for the last 12 years. For a number of years during this period he also taught first year University Chemistry to Year 12 students through University Enhancement Chemistry (Monash University). Peter has also undertaken a number of roles for the VCAA including Chemistry exam assessor 2003 to the present, and he was also one of the presenters involved in the new VCE Chemistry Study Design 2008-2011.
