Parking: Paid parking is available in the carpark opposite the Alexander Theatre until 5pm. Parking restrictions generally do not apply after 5pm, at weekends or during vacation periods. The University asks that the '2 hour Visitors Carpark', 'no standing anytime' and 'disabled parking' signs be observed at all times and that you park in the blue or red colour-coded areas only.
Public Transport: By train you can take any Dandenong, Pakenham or Cranbourne line train to Huntingdale station then catch a bus (No.630) along North Road to the campus. Alternatively if you are travelling towards the city on those rail lines it might be faster to get off at Clayton station and catch a No.631 or No.703 bus. Buses leave both stations for the Clayton campus at regular intervals. A variety of other bus routes also service Monash Clayton. The main bus interchange at Monash Clayton (off Wellington Rd) is close to the Alexander Theatre. On Arrival: Our registration desk is located in the foyer of the Rotunda Building, which is the round building attached to the northern side of the Alexander Theatre. Students will be directed to the appropriate lecture theatres by our staff.
Food: In the evening some food outlets are open in the University Union building to around 7pm. Vending machines are located around the University.
Library: The Matheson Library is generally open from 8:30am-9pm Monday to Thursday, 8:30am-5:45pm on Fridays, and 1pm-5pm on Saturday and Sunday during university semester. Out of semester it is open 9am-5:45pm Monday to Friday, and weekends vary. All service points close 10 minutes before closing time. For enquiries phone the library on 03 9905 5054.
