Description
Presented by: Freda Armstrong, BSc, BEd, Mathematics teacher, Presbyterian Ladies’ College
Having already completed at least half of the Mathematical Methods 3&4 course, now is a good time to review this material and be confident that you have summarised it into a concise form. This session will help to consolidate the content linked to graphs, transformations, derivatives and algebra and will introduce the two major areas of Unit 4, being integration and probability.
Please have your current CAS calculator with you at the session.
Main features of the session will include:
- a quick review of the Mathematical Methods 3 work already covered,
- a look at the material you will cover in Mathematical Methods Unit 4,
- how to efficiently and accurately use technology,
- a sample of Examination 1 and Examination 2 type questions that can already be answered with your current Methods 3 knowledge,
- an extensive set of summary notes, practice examples and their solutions, a look at your bound reference book so far.
